Strategic Approach

Strategic Approach

Reframing Fortnum & Mason’s heritage through material contrast, restrained typography, and a carefully paced reveal.

The concept reduces the visual palette to matte black, gloss detailing, and controlled gold accents. A textured outer box, ribbon closure, fitted interior, and individually numbered canisters create hierarchy through touch and sequence. Historical references remain present in the crests, signatures, and naming system, but function as refined details rather than dominant decoration.

The Outcome

The Outcome

A contemporary luxury system that preserves the brand’s heritage through tactile restraint and a more collectible presentation.

The final concept brings identity, packaging, and unboxing into one coherent experience. Material contrast, precise typography, and controlled historical references create a refined collection that remains recognizably connected to Fortnum & Mason.
